Multi-agent systems (MASs) provide powerful models for representing real-world applications with an appropriate degree of complexity and dynamic. Several industrial experiences have already shown that the use of MAS offers advantages in many different areas such as manufacturing processes, e-Commerce, network management, etc. Since MASs in such contexts need to be tested before their deployment and execution, methodologies that support validation through simulation (e.g. discrete-event simulation, agent-based simulation, etc.) of the MAS under development are highly required.

In fact, simulation of a MAS cannot only demonstrate that a MAS correctly behaves according to its specifications but can also support the analysis of emergent properties of the MAS under-test.

Areas of Interest

MAS&S'09 aims at providing a forum for discussing recent advances about the integration of Simulation and Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) methodologies and techniques for the analysis, design, validation and implementation of MASs. In particular, the areas of interest are the following (although this list should not be treated as exclusive):

• Agent-based simulation techniques and methodologies
• Discrete-event simulation of Multi-Agent Systems
• Simulation as validation tool for the development process of MAS
• Agent-oriented methodologies incorporating simulation tools
• MAS simulation driven by formal models
• MAS simulation toolkits and frameworks

Cada día más, las empresas dependen de las personas que trabajan en ellas. De su implicación, de su compromiso, de sus ganas de trabajar bien y de su actitud. La gran diferencia está en los equipos y las empresas necesitan personas motivadas, alegres, luchadoras, comprometidas, volcadas en el servicio y que transmitan entusiasmo. Estas personas, sin duda, existen, y son aquellas que tienen desarrollada su Inteligencia Emocional.

Las personas que tienen mayor inteligencia emocional tienen una actitud fantástica y da gusto trabajar con ellas. Yo creo que eso es lo que piensan nuestros jefes, nuestros equipos, nuestros compañeros de trabajo y nuestros clientes. ¡El entusiasmo se contagia!
