Workshop Web: http://www.insisoc.org/cepmaw2010/

Aims and Scope

The Construction and Engineering Project Management Workshop (CEPMaW´10) will provide a unique opportunity for professionals and researchers to exchange their knowledge and advances for the new era, filling the gap between theory and practice in project management.

This event proposes a one-and-half day workshop to debate on current issues in Project Management, both in construction and engineering industries. The main idea is to promote a forum where novel research and professional practices can be deeply discussed to provide efficient solutions and new tools in this discipline. In this second edition, we are particularly interested in successful cases in PM, implementation of methodologies, project portfolio and program management, and the links between corporate strategy and project portfolio.

The range of technical issues that Project Management has dealt with, and continues to deal with, is quite diverse and extensive. Relevant topics to this workshop include, but are not limited to, the following:

- standards and methodologies for project management
- platforms and software tools for project management
- new trends in project management

- project portfolio and program management

- corporate strategy and project portfolio

- Project Management in Education: opportunities and challenges

- controlling and monitoring projects
- project finance
- successful cases in project management
- complexity in project management
