The
objective is design a simulator on JAVA to program
easily models of complex social systems, for usefulness
of economists, sociologists, geographers, historians,
etc.. The starting point is the shell SDML (Strictly
Declarative Modelling Language), accomplished
by the teacher Scott Moss and his equipment of
the Center for Policy Modelling of the Manchester
Metropolitan University. This shell is built on
Smalltalk. The proposed development seeks to provide
a tool that incorporate visual facilities for
the programming as well as for the analysis of
the simulations, incorporating all the capacities
of SDML. This project form part of other more
ambitious, that includes the programming of a
publisher and a code generator that automate the
construction and modification of the models to
simulate. Lace this macroproject with the developments
obtained in the project Euroscom MESSAGE, and
the project INGENIAS (TIC 2002-04516-C03-03),
financed by the MCYT. in collaboration with European
investigation centers is intended to coordinate
a consortium for the complete development and
programming of all the usefulnesses linked to
the platform in development: visual publisher,
documents generation and of code in C++ for the
simulator designed in this project.
